The project

The project, which started in September 2022 and ends in summer 2025, is co-financed by Movetia under the International Programme. The partners involved are the Department of Education and Learning / University of Teacher Education (DFA/ASP) at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI), the Institute of Argumentation, Linguistics and Semiotics (IALS) at Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), and planpolitik, a Berlin-based company specializing in designing educational games.

Objective

The goal of the project is to create a teaching resource aimed at promoting the development of personal and social skills related to dialogic argumentation and the ability to decentralize and listen to different positions.

Target audience

The toolkit of educational simulations is aimed at young people between the ages of 12 and 18 and can be used both in-presence and remotely and adapted to formal, informal and non-formal learning contexts.

Experimentation

The toolkit was tested in a number of middle and upper-middle schools in Canton Ticino. The analysis of the data collected will serve as support for the reworking of the product.

Dissemination

The finished product was presented during a public event in Locarno, at the DFA/ASP, in May 2025. It will also be used in Continuing Education activities for secondary school teachers, planned in Ticino from the school year 2025/26.
